I personally enjoyed your style, and your use of visual aids – the screen shots were particularly helpful to those who are not very familiar with PCs. Your instructions were very clear, and with your backup system inplace of “tutorials” on your blog, I don’t forsee many problems. In fact, your whole approach was a lesson in itself of the very message you were conveying. It certainly is well received, and I hope that I shall be able to implement the same tools for my purposes.
The philosophy behind it all resonated with me. In a nutshell, my entire life has been turned upside down in these last 6 years. So, now it’s up to me to put something together for survival. This has involved a huge shift in mindset, not only of life philospohy, but of “selling” myself and whatever skills I have, something which does not come naturally to someone who has been academic and professional all her life.
So far I’ve signed up on Twitter, Facebook and Linked in. I shall take a bit more time over the blog. but shall get there soon.
Thank you for providing some of the tools which may help in this difficult phase. I’m sure that all of us present came away with much food for thought, and the means to take those important first steps.
